Estimate Cost Data Content
The Estimate Cost Data in either Master Estimate or Online Book format was authored & developed from first principles by HCI Cost Data Limited. The unit rates are based on a detailed rollup of crews, including labor and equipment, production rates and material rates. The estimate assemblies within these files are generic only and based on typical common practice found in the construction industry. Production rates & resource rates including labor, equipment and material are highly variable. The assumptions made for these rates are included with the Basis of Estimate documents included with the online Flip Books.

Spreadsheet Formula & Calculations
The Estimate Analysis & Quantity Takeoff Spreadsheets were authored & developed from first principles by HCI Cost Data Limited. The formula & calculations follow standard familiar excel formats. Users are required to check the formula & resulting calculations to satisfy themselves as to the suitability of using the spreadsheets to calculate their quantities of work or analyze their costs. Users are free to correct the formula to suit their project requirements.

Master Estimate & Spreadsheet File Purchase

Estimating Software Files
The Master Estimate files are provided in HCSS HeavyBid, InEight Estimate and Chief Estimator Software formats.

The following versions are all sold separately.

American Files (English Units)

Canadian Files (Metric Units)

Estimate Analysis & Quantity Takeoff Spreadsheets
The Spreadsheets are provided in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format. Both English & Metric calculations are provided with each purchase, sometimes in the same file, sometimes in separate files.

Delivery & Licensing Term

You will receive an e-mail within 24 hours of your purchase, Monday through Friday, with links to download your purchased files. You must restore these files within your estimating software or windows explorer. The files have no time restriction. All sales are final. A “Password” to open the files may or may not be provided.

File Updates
Future updated files or new files are sold separately and not included in this initial purchase price.

Third Party Software
We will make every effort to make sure the data is compatible with the applicable Third-Party Estimating or Spreadsheet Software. Users should endeavor to keep their software updated as files may not be accessed using older versions of the software. Users should contact their software vendor directly regarding the purchase, support and updates for their software.
