These Cost Books include the complete set of all Cost Book Categories in Drill Down Format covering Heavy Civil & Infrastructure Construction for Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia & Singapore. All costs are based on regional Labour, Fuel, Equipment & Material Costs. Equipment based production rates for the same equipment are generally comparable to North America. Equipment operator rates are much less & as a result there is a preference for using smaller equipment for the same activity that would utilize larger equipment in North America. Manhour factors are much higher as most craft tradesmen are accompanied by unskilled helpers which drives the activity manhour factors up. The country average craft labour rates range from $8-13 per hour with the exception of Singapore where rates are more than 3 times the regional average & exceed $30/hr. Fuel prices are comparable to North American fuel prices with the exception being Singapore again where fuel prices are more than twice that of the rest of the region, attributable to higher taxes. Concrete material costs are approximately 30-60 less than North American rates & Steel prices approximately 20-40% less than North American rates. Lumber is more expensive than in North America.
